If the DNS-settings are incorrect. You WILL get fucked up behaviour.
Like not possible to reconnect after computer sleep or changing wifi. Or
notbe able to log in...or whatever.. Smack 4 is pretty sensitive.
So this is how you set up with a domain like, for example im.yourdomain.com.
Windows server:
And of course the default im.yourdomain.com pointing to the IP of your openfire server.
Openfire server:
Now your clients should behave as expected. IF you have port 5222 open to them of course.
